Xiaomi Announces Redmi K30 5G Release Date

Xiaomi finally set a release date for Redmi K30 5G. This confirmation continues a statement from an Xiaomi executive earlier this month. He mentioned that the 5G phone with a 120Hz screen will be launched in the near future. At that time, many speculated that the new Redmi K30 would launch in early 2020.

But now, the CEO of Xiaomi confirms that the phone will be launched on December 10, as quoted from Tech Radar, Saturday (11/30/2019).

As reported previously, the Redmi K30 is a mobile phone that supports two 5G standards, namely SA and NSA. This means that the phone will have better 5G coverage, especially in areas where the development of the 5G network is still limited.

This phone is also rumored to use a screen with two punch holes to store two selfie cameras, precisely at the top left of the phone. Another specification is the screen refresh rate reaches 120Hz.

The processor used by this phone is Snapdragon 730 with Adreno 618 GPU. When released later, the phone will use MIUI 11 based on Android 10.

Xiaomi is not the only manufacturer that will release a 5G phone. Realme will also launch a 5G phone called the X50 in the near future, which is reportedly going to use a Snapdragon 735 processor, which is expected to be the first intermediate 5G chip from Qualcomm.
